@Hadtat Hi Hadley, the SSW has had an indirect influence on NZ's weather patterns so far in September, mostly due to the displacement of the polar vortex from South Pole to Patagonia. However, the SSW has yet to transfer down from the stratosphere to the troposphere (where we live!)

Eye spy with my a swirl of ️ off the Taranaki clouds. Why❓ Likely due to the S'ly ️ along the West Coast of the South Island reaching the Taranaki coast, bending clockwise and inducing the cyclonic spin of air. While it looks interesting, not expecting any bad weather. https://t.co/WHuu4vqZwI
